Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day" and Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees for Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota has been journalist for more than thirty years, covered news stories as well as international. The award she received was an Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. As part of other trustee board' changes Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford was named an honorary trustee, having been on the board since 2007 while Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been elected chair of the board following her service since the beginning of 2013 on the board. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker from Westport who was chair of the board in the previous year. She was in this position ever since. The trustees' board comprises 26 individuals.
