Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 until January 19, 2008) was an American film, theatre television, voice actress. [1] Pleshette began her career in the theatre and was first seen in films towards the end of the 1950s. She then was featured in films of note such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). Then, she appeared in numerous television shows and was frequently an actor in guest roles. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 through 1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 1937. Her parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer, and choreographer, who appeared on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager of the Paramount Theater in Manhattan and of the Paramount Theater in Brooklyn,
